IRELAND STAR Andrew Porter has shown off his decorating skills by surprising his wife with the perfect birthday set-up.

The prop marked Elaine’s 28th birthday by giving her a perfect US Office-themed sign for the celebration.

Porter hung up a sign that read: “It is your birthday.”

As Office fans will know, this is a call back to Dwight Schrute’s mundane decorating ability on the show.

The Leinster star also clumsily hung half-blown up balloons on the wall – just like his inspiration Dwight did.

Elaine shared a photo of the set-up on her Instagram and said that Porter ‘nailed it’.

Porter also shared their snap with added context of the scene that the sign appears in during The Office.

The spread is accompanied by another reading: “28 never looked so good.”

Porter and Elaine have been together for almost six years, and got married in 2023.

Coming after Ireland’s historic 2022 series win in New Zealand over the All Blacks, Porter popped the question in Nice.

During this year’s Six Nations, Porter has been in flying form – but decided to send something else flying against Wales.

The 120kg unit always cuts a pretty noticeable figure.

So that he got away with flinging an opponent’s loose boot 30 yards behind play was all the more remarkable.

While certainly not the most serious of offences, Irish fans would be quick to scold anyone who did that to one of our players.

ITV tweeted the clip with the caption: “Now, now Andrew Porter… Play nice!”

The replies were emblematic on how the art of s**thousery splits opinion among fans with how it’s perceived often boiling down to what colour jersey you’re wearing.

Steve John wrote: “Should have been penalised and a yellow card. Unsporting behaviour, the game we love is on the decline.”

While someone else queried: “Surely that’s illegal?”

However, there were plenty of people who saw nothing wrong with it.

Quite the opposite in fact as the Leinster star even received plenty of plaudits for putting the boot into the opposition in such a creative way.

One supporter commented: “Old school sh**housing! Delicious from Porter.”

And along those same lines, another viewer added: “Pretty funny in fairness.”
