Things had gone downhill for Cameron since she was beaten by Katie Taylor in the 3Arena back in November.
It looked all but confirmed that Cameron and Taylor were going face off for a third time in Dublin this month.
However, when talks fell through Cameron blamed The Bray Bomber and her team for dodging her.
Now, Taylor is set to renew acquaintances with another former foe in Amanda Serrano on July 20 as part of the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Netflix card in Texas.
After splitting with her trainer Jamie Moore in February, it looked like Cameron’s latest career separation was another downhill step.
But the 32-year-old now looks determined to bounce back with her new deal.
Cameron said: “I feel like I just want to bite everyone’s head off.
“I took that loss, I know what I’m capable of and I won’t let it happen again.
“Anyone that’s in my way I am coming for them, I am going to get my belts back one way or another.”
Queensbury does not have the same level of female talent as Matchroom but it has experienced a strong boom in the past year.
Frank Warren’s outfit have a renewed relationship with Matchroom which means she could still push for the trilogy with Taylor.
Depending on the outcome of the July bout, Serrano could also be a potential opponent for Cameron.
Warren said: “In this new age of co-operation why not, we’re all best mates.
“I’m sure we can get it over the line. I don’t see why not.”
It seemed clear enough that Cameron didn’t mind stepping away from Matchroom after the last year.
She responded ‘Thank you’ to Matchroom’s official statement informing fans of the update.
The social media statement had read: “Matchroom Boxing can today confirm that we reached an agreement last month to release Chantelle Cameron from her promotional deal.
“We would like to wish Chantelle all the best in her future endeavours.”
